The cultivation of small acreage in the heart of New Hampshire.
Why Farm?
This blog chronicles my personal goal of food accountability. The objective is to raise or trade locally for 70% of my family's food in the next five years.
This is currently year 2 of 5.
Fun Fact
If every U.S. citizen ate just one meal a week (any meal) composed of locally and organically raised meats and produce, we would reduce our country's oil consumption by over 1.1 million barrels of oil every week. That's not gallons, but barrels.
It also reminded me how I almost bought a chick from the local Tractor Supply to release in the horror that was my suitemate's room ... then I thought of the chicken, and didn't.
